Egg Coloring and a Park Visit

Mother nature has provided us with some beautiful weather (low 50's and sunny) leading up to and through this Easter weekend. On Thursday afternoon we met up with Daddy for a picnic lunch at the park. There was a slight breeze but the sun was shining bright to warm us up. We've been getting to the park every couple of days.

On Friday morning we tackled the fun (and messy) project of coloring easter eggs. Jake and Casey didn't remember doing them last year so they were filled with excitement to color them yesterday. They each had 5 eggs (I boiled a dozen, but 2 of them cracked open during the cooking process). Casey of course colored her first one pink and Jake went for the blue and orange dye. They carefully dunked their eggs into the cups and watched it change colors. The entire process only took about 10 mins and both kids were begging me to make more eggs. Next year I'll have to remember to boil a few more. After the eggs dried we decorated them with stickers.

PS. Notice Casey's new smile? She squints her eyes and purses her lips. She started doing it 2 weeks ago. Funny girl.

Have a great Easter weekend.
