Ever have one of those day where you feel like a million things need to be accomplished and there are not enough hours in the day. I'm sure you do. Well today is one of those days. I usually get this feeling a day or two before company arrives at our house for a visit. My dad, stepmom and nephew Gavin are arriving Friday for a weekend visit. It's been a long while since they've last been here. We get to show them our new digs and have a few days of fun with each other. Even though I go crazy preparing, I LOVE LOVE LOVE it when we can have visitors.
I had MOPS this morning. I used to like these meetings but my volunteer duties are taking a toll on me each and every meeting. I'm in charge of food/decoration/room setup. We had a SPA DAY today (massages, lip masks, eyebrow threading, paraffin waxing) which entailed many many extra things. I was there from 8:30am-12:00. After MOPS we stopped at home to send out some logos that a client needed asap. Picked up Happy Meals for the kids on the way to the Ford Service Center. Got my oil changed. My Change Oil Light has been blinking/beeping for a week. Headed to the pediatrician to get Casey's stitches removed (she was a trooper). Ran to Bath and Body Works to pick up some face cleaners (needed it bad). On my way home I noticed they rang up my order incorrectly and didn't give me a $25 discount from a special they had. I turned around went back to get my $25 back.
I'm home now and need a breather so I'm checking email and blogs. So many things to do around the house to prepare for guests. Clean house, do laundry and grocery shop. Chris called and said he's working an extra hour later this evening (SUPER!) Jake is sick with a head cold (his first cold since October). I'm pumping him up with lots of OJ and rest. Though yesterday he refused to nap and today we've been running around so much neither kid got a nap (that usually does not happen). I guess I need to do better getting him his rest. He's watching Jungle book now and I can hear him hacking and sniffling. Tonight they will be in bed by 7pm.
Anyway I"m rambling now. I have a date with my broom, mop, vacuum, and 409 cleaner. Gotta go!

busy girl! i need to post about my busy day too. i'm exhausted. fun that you're having company! :)
i totally know what you feel like! today i thought my head was going to spin off and i would explode and that was even before i got home! :) hope you can kick back and relax before the company comes!
