Our little Casey is now TWO! Last Friday, Auguat 31 we celebrated her birthday, and she knew it. Her day started enjoying a very special breakfast of chocolate chip pancakes and strawberries. Next, she opened a few of the birthday gifts sent to her from family in Wisconsin. The great gifts she received included fairy wings, a wand, stuffed animal, touch and feel box with 12 small toys inside, 4 colorful purses and an adorable fall jacket.
Later that morning I dressed her up in her new birthday dress. She allowed me to style her hair and we proceeded to the park for a photo shoot. Jake was my photographer assistant while I tried to capture Casey's beauty. He was a great helper and Casey was an excellent model.

After a good afternoon nap we enjoyed dinner and games at Chuck E. Cheese. It was just the four of us (mommy, daddy, birthday girl Casey and Jake). Casey and Jake made their rounds in the play area riding and playing with all the fun stuff they have. Casey's favorite is a Barney train and Jake enjoys the Bob the Builder ride. They were able to dance with Chuck E. Cheese and gave him a big hug.

After an exhausting 90 mins at C.E.C. we came home for birthday cake. A hand-decorated Dora cake (made by mommy). After blowing out her candles, Casey couldn't wait any longer for her first taste and decided to take a bite right into the entire cake. It was adorable. For the next 2 hours she enjoyed opening the rest of her presents which included a doll stroller with 2 new dolls, a few special books and DVDs, a 3 foot Dora pillow. From us the big gift was a Dora Trike (similar to the one her big brother has). Soon she'll be zooming along the sidewalks in our neighborhood. Her favorite part was the cute white basket in front of the trike where she can collect items. Can you tell the theme of her birthday this year? Yep, Dora the Explorer. This Saturday she'll have another party with a few of her little friends and yes, it too will be Dora themed.
